Lennart "Baker" Bergqvist was once the hardest working engine builder
in the northern of Sweden.
Now he is the hardest working engine builder in Orlando, possibly in all of
Florida.
He builds top notch engines for every possible application in all of motorsports.

Therefore, when calling Autoshop it is always Birgitta who answers. "Baker"
is busy. She's also very busy
but is much better at pretending not to be, and much better to take care of
our business. The revving

And here the block got a bit decked. Autoshop do all machinework inhouse. To the right, the typical stroker clearance for the rods. |

Modern GM LT1 comes only
as 2-bolted (while the LT4 has 4-bolt main caps). Since the strength of a
4-bolt design is absolutely necessary for a supercharged engine, "Baker"
used a full days work of
machine work only to fit a 4-bolt Pro Gram Engineering main caps kit. Then
he line bored the new
set up and finally line honed.

Then the pistons
were treated with ceramic turbo coating on top to beat the heat.
File fitting of the rings
for accurate ring gap - 0.26" top and second. "Baker"
likes to take the time
with the rings... He believes they're very very very very important in every
race engine set up.
New Callies 3.875" stroker crank in place. Because of the short rods this one had to be balanced with some mallory heavy metal. |
