Finally the transmission is working! It really hits the gears hard and it doesn't slip at all. I even made my
first jump with the left front wheel off the ground! And suddenly it became critical on what pressure I have
in my 11.5 x 26 x 15" M/T DOT. I began with a smokin' full spin on the whole 1st gear! Hehe. No one
believed me "yea yea right!" until I showed the video. The problem now is the leaking intake valves
which we found with a leakdown test the day before going here! Hey, I need some points...

Good ol' friend and streetracer Jöran Persåker drove up from Stockholm to meet me and then try to beat me with his
awesome 1999 Corvette Coupe C5 with a 345 hp LS1 engine. Car weighs 3417 lb (1550 kg). Featherweight compared
to the Heavyweight 4354 lb (1975 kg) Impala SS. A full oil drum difference! Stock SS LT1 engine had 260 hp from the
factory but not anymore.

Heads up in qualifying for the Bracket class Real Street. Sorry Jöran but didn't I tell you I was running nitrous? Best
performance of the Corvette on its street tires was
13.5 @ 102 (165 kmh) and we adjusted the Impala SS down from
13.9 to 13.0's. On M/T DOT "slicks". Jöran normally races a very hairy twin turbo CBB Trans Am in Comp Eliminator.

Axel always has advises for mechanic Anders "Nova" Forsberg but sometimes he just has to do it himself.

Mora Siljan Airport in the County of Dalarna (The Valleys). The mountains begin here. An absolute
beautiful part of our country! This is in the middle of Sweden which is a very tall country and as big as
California or Spain in size (but only 9 million people). I lived in the north before but now this is
the northernmost race we go to from our home in Gothenburg on the southwest.
But there's a bunch of dragraces also in the north of Sweden.

3 year old Axel's tactic: Polite Presentation - Show Interest - Take Over!

Mora, qualifying is over. Back to the camping with our friends. Klas, Annsofie, Agneta, "Nova"-Anders, Anton...
Looking at the kids play, Bar-b-que, beer. Summer night. Some of the best times in our lives.

Second run of Elimination. Up against sharp driver Mikael Christiansen of Denmark in his nitrous supported bigblock
Fairlane. We tried to fool each other the last bit before the finish line by multiple braking and stuff. That resulted in
both of us breaking out! But I was 0.001 lower with my best so far: 12.92 - so I lost. What the heck, I was happy
that I was back on the 12's again so this was the last race with the 13.00 dial in painted on the windows. And the
Impala SS is shaping up after a dreadful start of the season. It will be perfect at the next race in Stockholm!

(More of this at the tech pages when they're done!)
Valve seats renovation by Vesa Ollila and new valves to that.
Bigger 12.5 x 28" M/T DOT's. PCM sent over to
Mr Wright at Fastchips in Tulsa for upgrading.
